[Feature Request] Action after Trading / NPC Inventory

It would be great to have the NPC perform an action after a trading is completed.
I'm trying to make it send the traded items to a different location via summoning the exact number of items that are being traded into a hopper, but right now there's no way I can tie that to an actual trade.

Ideally each trade slot would be able to call an action upon trading. If not, then making it so the NPC can have an inventory could solve the issue, especially if the inventory can then be pushed into a hopper by having the NPC stand on it.

For context, we're looking for a way to have the NPCs send items into a storage/processing line.

Thank you for your consideration :)

Thank you for your feature request! Implementing actions after trading or providing NPCs with inventories could indeed enhance functionality, especially for integrating NPCs into storage or processing systems.

I noticed a similar request regarding NPC inventories in Issue #433.

Are these two requests related, or do they address different aspects of NPC interactions? Understanding this will help in prioritizing and designing the feature effectively.

Thank you for your input!

Hi there! My vision/suggestion is a little different and more oriented towards Unified Storage system and integreation with Create.

But say we have an NPC that's trading basic resources like gravel, stone, wood etc. The action I have in mind is something like this:

NPC is connected to a special inventory block/chest that can only be accessed by the Player who put the NPC in place.
Said Chest will be the target of the NPC action "Put Traded Items in Chest".
Then, if the Chest is connected to a hopper or other blocks like Chutes or Funnels from Create, those items can be processed however the player sees fit.

Different Trades could send the items to different Chests, which could in turn be sent out to different processing lines and sorting systems.
