[Feature Request] NPCS having an inventory

Me and my friends have a minecraft server where we simulate real life economy and we build cities for people to live in. My only problem with this mod is that if i want to make a vendor. the money that i put in through the trade menu disappears and I think it would be a really nice addition if you added a inventory to the npcs so that they can put stuff away in chests.
Best regards, Seen
Thank you for your feature request! Implementing inventories for NPCs is an interesting idea that could enhance gameplay, especially in scenarios like your server's simulated economy.
To better understand your needs and explore potential solutions, could you provide more details on how you'd like this feature to function? For example:
- Inventory Management: Should NPCs have a fixed inventory, or would you prefer they interact with nearby chests to store and retrieve items?
- Player Interaction: How do you envision players accessing or interacting with an NPC's inventory?
- Use Cases: Are there specific scenarios or workflows where this feature would be particularly beneficial on your server?
Understanding these aspects will help in assessing the feasibility and design of such a feature.
Npcs should be able to interact with nearby chests. So for example, when the npc gets traded something the item you traded should be put in its inventory and then put in a chest at the end of the night. Its more for a store so that they can be robbed. I think adding this feature would remove any issue i had with this mod and make it one of my favorites. For a specific scenario on our server we have cars and you have to buy parts in order to build the car. When you trade for a car part the money spent will be put in a chest and can be cycled through the economy that way. If you could add an inventory and make it to where they walk up to it and put their items in that would be awesome.
