[Bug] CPM Custom Player Mod incompatability
Azzarg opened this issue Β· 4 comments
Minecraft and Mod version π
Minecraft Fabric 1.20.1
Describe the bug π
If a player using the CPM mod has a model with the Using Container animation, the player will be permanently stuck in this animation until game shutdown.
To Reproduce βοΈ
- Download CPM
- Give your model a Using Container animation
- save, export, and wear the model
- Access an NPC's settings menu
- Exit the NPC menu
- Behold, you are stuck
Expected behavior βοΈ
I expect the using container animation to end and for walking, running, etc... animations to continue as normal as expected for other inventories like chests.
Screenshots πΈ
Here is me, stuck kneeling after talking to this villager NPC
Is the issue happening in combination with other mods? (If yes, please provide a full list) π§©

Additional context π
The issue doesn't arise if the player is missing a using container animation.
Thanks for the report! Does this issue also occur with the dialog screen, or is it only happening with the settings menu?
I havenβt used CPM so far, so if you could provide some details or screenshots of a simple CPM model/setup, it would help me reproduce the issue more easily.
Any additional information on the steps to trigger this behavior would be greatly appreciated.
The bug occurs on the settings or dialog screen, but is strangely not triggered by trading.
To make a CPM to test the issue:
- Install CPM
- Turn on the game
- Click "open skin editor" in the top left corner
- click the animations tab
- click the green plus
- click the top bar of the new window, which should say pose: standing
- change the pose to "using container" which appears in cyan
- adjust the player's position to something noticeable, such as a T pose
- click file > export > export as model
OR - click file > test in game
- test if the animation plays by opening a chest in third person if it does, continue
- open any NPC's settings or dialog menu
- exit that menu
You should now be stuck in a T pose
