Villager items outer layer does not load correctly when not using optifine

Bug description
When not using optifine and instead using other game optimizing mods like rubidium the villager item's outer layer does not load correctly, this only works in the inventory, when in third person mode the outer layer actually loads
Steps to reproduce the issue
- Don't have optifine instaled
- Enter a world
- Open the easy villagers tab
- See error
