This document cannot be used to change the color of birch trees, because their color is not determined by foliage_colors.

The built-in birch color is actually hardcoded. This is a limitation: the color of birch trees cannot currently be restricted by biome. Without blend sampling, it will look quite ugly.

I would assume that some pseudo-code logic or something similar might be needed here. In fact, we also have a special option: you can build a seasonal model or seasonal texture to achieve custom effects, and even remove the tint.
