In version 1.7.52 the only way I can enable private messages is to create a new bot profile with the client interface. But this only works until restart. The gui sets B:allowPrivateMessages=true but it seem the option is ignored.

Thanks, I already built the mod and using it... it seems to work fine :)

There's one issue remaining: when you create a new bot config with the GUI it seems the mod isn't picking up the changes properly until one restarts the game. I didn't have time to investigate it so I may be wrong on this one and it's not a mayor issue anyway.

Luckily all the bot config mess is going to be removed and replaced by a cleaner config system in EiraIRC 2.8 anyways, so I wouldn't worry about that since barely anyone actually uses the bot profiles.
