Sometimes my client starts recieving two copies of every message, even my own. Restarting minecraft seems to fix it, but I'm not sure what triggers this behavior in the first place.

Kinda sounds like it's reconnecting without closing the old connection, though then the nick on IRC would change. Not sure what's happening either, but will check the code and see if I can find anything weird.
