Recently i needed to craft over 1 million pistons and i felt some difficulties with crafting tree due to unvailable text entering in the amount of an crafts. sry for bad english.

So, a way to input item quantity instead of using the scrollwheel, and an alternate item count mode that shows total stacks and chests. This would be very nice.

In addition to this, for me another useful display mode would be compacted count for items like planks, iron, redstone, etc.
Because I tend to store these items compressed (to save storage space).

So for example, when crafting 70 hoppers, instead of showing 350 iron ingots & 560 wood planks, show 38 iron blocks + 8 ingots & 140 wood logs. I think showing a rounded up count (~39 Iron blocks) would also be fine.

Perhaps, you could switch between different display modes by holding a modifier key (like Ctrl, Alt, etc.), I think this would be quite intuitive, but being able to change display mode in the options would suffice too.
