Mended Mending reworks how the mending enchantment works, instead of the vanilla behavior, it just resets the accumulated experience cost of repairing the item at an anvil back to its baseline, making mending not break the resource gathering and repair gameplay loop.

Hello, thanks for the request. In this situation the developers of Mended Mending would be the best to ask about adding the description. They're rewriting the vanilla enchantment rather than adding a new one. They can override the description as well using a language file at assets/enchdesc/lang/en_us.json. You could also create a resource pack to do this change yourself if you are publishing a modpack.
