[1.12] Crash when placing an item in a simple crafter

Issue Description:

If you try to put an Item into a simple crafter to set it's recipe the game crashes.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. place a simple crafter
  2. open the gui
    3.try to set a recipe by clicking with an item in your in one of the 9 slots on the left side
    ...
