Like I said in the discord, I cannot use these files if they are PDF. I would have to convert all of them and it is not worth my time. Please make it so that the generated files are back to xml and not freaking pdf. And if you are keeping it this way, just tell me.... why would you do that?

this is intended as those files are suppost to be read only. you should be able to use xml to modify those recipes as usual

the release builds also contain PDFs with the contents of the XML in them alongside the xml files with the exact same content.
What exactly is the point behind that? Because PDF is a "read only" format? It can easily be edited by many tools

@Jan200101 people have been editing the default files in the past and complained that the changes were ignored (even so it was stated as such at the start of each file).

Would a txt file containing the info on the folder (and potential files) and a URL pointing them to a github repo containing the proper XML not be better?

That way you'd be able to get easy user contribution and the read-only status you desire.

Just checked the source and it only loads the PDF files for release versions to why pack the xml's? seems like wasted space for me
