Redstone Conduits not connecting to various mod blocks

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I did not find any existing issues.

Current Behavior

I was noticing that redstone conduits seem selective in which blocks they will and will not connect to. they connect fine to the extreme reactors redstone ports, but won't connect to any industrial foregoing blocks, nor any immersive engineering blocks automatically. you have to use a yeta wrench to force them to connect

Expected Behavior

would expect them to connect automatically

How to Test

place down any IF machine, any IE turret (example) and the redstone conduits won't connect automatically

Local Environment

- **Operating System**: irrelevant
- **Java version**: not sure
- **Minecraft Version**: 1.21.1 Neoforge 21.1.169
- **Version**:
- **Other Mods**: Applied Energistics 2, Mekanism...
IE: 12.3.0-188
IF: 3.6.33

Any Additional Information?

These blocks don't override the methods to imply they want redstone connections, nor are in the tag that makes conduits automatically connect to them

hmmm I just remember back in ancient times (1.12.2) they would connect or at least if they didn't connect but would show up in the ui for other conduits so you could enable them. perhaps that functionality could be restored. as in say you had power, item, redstone and ender fluid conduits in the block space. when you open the ui for the conduit connection have the redstone conduit tab appear if there was a redstone conduit in the bundle even if it isn't automatically connecting.

That's already a thing :)

I'm going to close this, as there's not much else we can do for this problem. Thanks

Actually no it is not. The redstone conduit ui tab does not show at all unless ut is actually connected to the block. As an example. Redstone conduits do not show in the ui when next to an IE turret, even when other conduits are connected via the same connection. The only time the redstone conduit tab appears is when you MANUALLY yeta the conduit to connect first.

So if you say it is already a thing, and that thing is not happening then I assume its a bug. I will supply screenshots to support this in an hour when i get home.

IE Turret & IF Mob Crusher with redstone conduit behind them - no auto connection, Extreme Reactors redstone port that auto connected.

Added energy conduits

The ui of the connection behind the mob crusher. there is no redstone conduit tab even though @Rover656 says there is one

MANUALLY connected them via yeta wrench

Oh look, the redstone conduit tab magically appears

So I am sorry to say Rover, either you are incorrect or there is a bug, either way this is an open issue.
