Current Behavior
Hi, I wanted to inform you that there is a bug with the energy conduits because after playing for a while it happens that they stop transmitting energy to the machines and suck up all the energy I have in the bank. I have to close and reopen the world for them to work again.
Expected Behavior
I would like them to work without this problem. So I hope the creator will be able to fix this problem for all the people who love his mod.
How to Test
I'm in single player, not in a server. I connected the energy conduits to the various energy sources by setting it in extract, on the machines in insert and the bank in insert/extract. I don't have any crash reports to add because the game doesn't crash, it's just that suddenly everything stops working for me and by checking the energy sources they work correctly and if I use energy conduits from other mods the problem doesn't happen.
Local Environment
- **Operating System**: Windows 11 Pro 64 bit
- **Processor**: i9-12900KF 3.20 GHz
- **Java version**: Java 8 - 32 Gb allocated memory
- **Minecraft Version**: 1.20.1
- **Version**: EnderIO-1.20.1-6.2.7-beta-all
- **Other Mods**: Project Architect 2 modpack and I added the Ender IOAny Additional Information?
I really hope you can fix this problem because Ender IO is one of my favourite mods precisely because the cables can all be put together in a single block, I've never found another mod with conduits like this so I really hope it's a fixable problem. Thank you very much for your work!
I regret to say that we no longer officially support Minecraft 1.20.1 - as such we will not be officially fixing this issue.
If any community member wishes to submit a pull request to address this issue, feel free to open a PR and we will review and merge it.
I will close outstanding 1.20.1 issues in a little while, to keep the issue list clear.
Thanks again for your report.
I don't have any crash reports to add because the game doesn't crash
force one by holding F3 + C until it crashes, the report contains significant details about your mod and game setup

I forced the shutdown when it happened that the refined storage ran out of power despite all the energy sources I have. I have many types of generators because I tried adding different ones to see if those were the problem.
I have 6 copression dynamos from thermal with upgrades that generate 120RF/t, 3 advanced solar panels from Mekanism: more solar panels, one diamond furnace with 1x augment generator and 1x fuel efficency from the Iron furnace mod, two combustion generators from the Cyclic mod, one generator from the Integrated Dynamics mod and one solar panel from Powah.
When the refined ran out of power I only had 2 machines active: the refined itself and the fractionating still from thermal if I remember correctly so I don't understand where all the energy goes.
Another mod I added to the modpack is Mekanism: More Solar Panel, sorry I forgot to add it above.

Is the crash report file OK? Excuse me but I don't understand it unfortunately ๐
yes, just be patient, the log is good :)
Sorry, I thought I had done something wrong because I am not an expert in these things, it was not my intention to press you. Thank you very much! ๐ โคโ๐ฅ
I'd like to report that I had a similar issue. It also happened to involve Refined Storage, though I'm not sure it was the cause.
I was playing on a group server someone else runs, so I'm afraid I don't have a log I can offer, however:
Before energy transmission broke (everything was working):
- Using base energy conduits
- 2 Wind Generators from Mekanism
- Leading to an Ender IO SAG Mill and Refined Storage controller
[Wind Gen]โ>โ>[Wind Gen]โ>โ>โ>โ>โ>[SAG Mill]โ>[RS Controller]
I then tried to add an Alloy smelter. The Refined Storage controller immediately stopped receiving energy, and the Alloy Smelter received none despite having a capacitor. I thought I needed more power and ended up making 3 additional Wind Generators for a total of 5, but there was no change.
After adding the wind generators, I noticed the conduit just before my string of machines had disappeared (machines in order: Alloy Smelter, SAG Mill, RS Controller). Attempting to place a new conduit would work visually but still did not transmit power, and breaking any conduit placed there didn't give a conduit back, it just ate any conduits placed. If the block was empty, I still couldn't place normal blocks.
[Wind Gen]โ>[Wind Gen]โ>[Wind Gen]โ>[Wind Gen]โ>[Wind Gen]โ>[Wind Gen]โ>โ>โ>XX>โ>[Alloy Smelter]โ>[[SAG Mill]โ>[RS Controller]
I thought this was a visual issue and restarted my game. However, even after getting back into the game, I still couldn't place blocks in that location, The server owner restarted the server, but the block was still empty and I am still unable to place blocks in that location.
Hopefully this assists in tracking down the issue!
[UPDATE]
After the server reset, I attempted to route power to my machine string a block over to bypass the 'dead' block. However, attempting to do so actually ended up 'corrupting' the new route also, resulting in more dead spots where I can't place any blocks.
[UPDATE 2]
In order to fix the dead blocks, we ended up needing to use the /setblock command to change it to minecraft:air
Honestly I don't know if the energy problem is with Ender IO at this point because it has happened to me again and also with cables from other mods. As for Ender IO on the other hand I noticed other problems like the Bank resetting every time I added another one to the multiblock structure, so it would lose all the energy I had stored. Then the Alloy smelther has a problem in the configuration, it stops every time I try to cook quartz to create glass because I think the recipe conflicts with the silicon creation recipe (by cooking the quartz I get the silicon of the refined) but the problem is that the Alloy smelther is set to be only alloy smelther and not also furnace but the setting doesn't work. Sometimes it happens that the cable settings (input and output) reset. But I don't know whether this is because I have willingly added Ender IO to the Project Architect 2 package, but it seems improbable.
I hope someone can help me with advice because I have serious problems with power and now I'm only using the plug and points from flux network but it's not optimal.. ๐ฅบ
Edit
P.S. : I installed the new version of EnderIO and now it seems that the bank no longer has that problem. As for the Alloy smelther, unfortunately it still gives that problem.
Closing as 1.20.1 is no longer being maintained, and this issue is no longer present in 1.21.1.
Please see #1156 for more information.
Thanks!
