Latest version that was available from Curseforge at the time. Um...

That is very odd. That version has been stable for a long time with no other reported issues.
What version of forge are you using?
I have moved dev onto 1.8.9 now as I have had no bug reports on 1.7.10 for a long time.

This WAS on 1.8.9. I made a mistake when I first commented, I was copying the filename.

Could you please confirm the ender zoo and forge version you are using?
