I really like this mod, however the spawn rates are relatively high, and the fallen knights in particular are too powerful. Their speed, attack, follow distance. and they almost never despawn. So if you get killed by one, it will take forever to get your items back.
I want the option to be able to adjust how common each of the ender zoology mobs are to spawn. being able to make finer adjustments like speed, health, etc would be great in config, but i know thats a lot to ask. And no i dont want to just disable the fallen knights altogether. and no, i dont hate difficulty because "its too hard". i have a bunch of difficulty increasing mods in my pack, and everything is well balanced for a difficult game, but the fallen knights are creating problems far too often.
i would have no problem editing my own custom version of the mod to use. but seeing as im using this in a public (uploaded) modpack, i dont expect you would want me uploading my own modified version to curseforge.
Alternatively some level of fallen knight balance would be nice. In my opinion the speed, aggresiveness, attack pattern (it attacks twice in a row half the time making guarding hard), and the fact it always spawns with all the armor and weapon. And the frequency of spawns. im basically guaranteed multiple fallen knight and fallen mount spawns every night. I tried limiting, but it wasnt enough, so im forced to play with these guys turned off until they get balanced more or we have config options for them. sorry to pester with all this
My recommendation and preference would be the following:
- Mob spawns lowered, particularly the fallen knight/mount
- config for spawn frequencies
- Fallen knight speed lowered slightly, it shouldn't be impossible to outrun them.
- Chance to not have sword or at least parts of armor
- Attack speed lowered, attacks too often.
- double attacking either removed or made way more infrequent.
- lower speed of the horse, or make it spawn with a range of speed. maybe have it move at 50-80percent of the horses speed, until cured.
