when updating my modpack to this latest release it causers a crash on the load screen in phase 2

That version of endercore is for the dev builds of enderio

@tyler489 0.5.43 was released yesterday to address a stack overflow issue, see SleepyTrousers/EnderIO-1.5-1.12#4923.

For now, either switch to a modular installation of EnderIO without the open computers conduits, or downgrade EnderCore.

i downgraded EnderCore for now until you update EnderIO thanks for the quick response

It took me until stage 4-5, but I got the same thing. Perhaps this release of EnderCore should be marked as alpha with big warning text? As OP did, will just downgrade.

same here, i was all happy about the parsing on recipe names infix getting fixed but i guess we have to wait a little more. Thanks to the dev team for their great job.
