My husband has been playing the game so far and loves it. However he has come across an issue regarding the end portal. At first it let him out the eyes in but the portal did not work. He then removed the eyes, rebuilt the portal and attempted to place them in but it will not allow the eyes to be placed. Is there a way to reset this with it him having to start a new save?

Yes! I know I'm a decent few months late, but I ran into this same issue today and was looking for a "fix", finally figured it out!

You are able to place down your own End Portal Frames and put End Remastered eyes into them, but 2 specific things have to be true to do so.

1. The frames must construct a full portal. If you're trying one frame on its own, or any different arrangement, you aren't gonna get anywhere.

2. To repair an existing portal (or make a new one) the frames must be placed standing in the middle of the portal. If you place them from the outside, it wont work.

If you thought these explanations are really poorly worded, I did too, so here's a video clearly demonstrating what I mean. You can see me do the proper placement for constructing your own portal, a frame placement that doesn't allow any eyes to be placed, and then me going to my Stronghold, showing a test frame that does work, and one that doesn't, and then repairing my portal by doing the one that does work.

Just wanted to leave this here for anyone else that would end up running into this. I almost threw it out of my pack because I didn't want to risk "bricked" portals, but its just very specific about how it wants the frames to be able to accept the eyes.

FYI this is not an issue, and does not require fixing, but just how the game itself behave. The mod only comes hook itself up on the game's base behaviour.
