The Powah cables only connect to blocks which have a forge energy capability and as such do not connect or receive power from the small solar panel:

Hi, aye that's quickly done, forgot to implement that after there were initial issues in the first forge version. Will be in the next version.

Works perfectly. It now connects to the cable and power is also transferred.
