[Bug]: 1.20.1 Slime do not spawn

Steps to Reproduce the Bug
- put slime egg in spawner.
- Spawner will not spawn slimes.
Tried making the room entirely dark.
Tried putting the spawner in a slime chunk
Tried putting the spawner in a swamp.
The spawner just refuses to spawn slimes.
