Issue Summary
When trying to create different baby variants for a mob, including both a default baby variant and biome-dependent baby variants that match their adult counterparts, the default baby variant overrides the biome-dependent baby variants.

Problem Description:

I added two biome-dependent chicken variants to the game along with three baby variants (one default baby and two biome-dependent babies). However, when the default baby chicken is specified in the properties file, it overwrites the biome-dependent baby variants, resulting in only the default one appearing. If the default baby variant is removed, the two biome-dependent baby variants display correctly.

Steps Taken:
I was adding different chicken variants to the game when this issue occurred.

Does this issue occur with OptiFine?
No.

Configuration Details
Minecraft Version: 1.21.1
Mod Loader: Fabric
ETF Version: 6.2.5
Other Mods Installed: Sodium, Animatica, EMF, Continuity, and Polytone. No mods that should interfere with mob variants.
