[BUG] Properties being ignored for base texture

Describe the issue

ETF ignoring .properties for base villager.png, left/center bed textures from random folder and right bed are base villager texture.

Your setup: (please complete the following information):

  • Minecraft version: 1.21.8
  • ModLoader: Fabric
  • ETF Version 6.2.14
  • Does the issue persist with only ETF installed? IDK cuz resourcepack needs optifine/etf with emf
  • Have you checked the FAQ in the Readme, or Discord, to see if it is a known issue? Readme yes, but not Discord.

ill need the pack and or images of your texture folders and properties

ok what specifically is wrong here?

there are no villager texture properties

villagers_eyes.properties in anim being ignored so like on screenshot base villager sleeping with open eyes while villagers from random sleeping with closed eyes

etf has a different simpler blink system
for the anim folder support you need the animatica mod

as for why etf's blinking isnt working

Image these textures wont work, tyhe counting in the optifine folder starts from 2

so its reading the vanilla texture 2 3 and 4 only

and the vanilla one doesnt have etf blinking textures

So I just need to rename villager/1.png to villager5/6.png to make it work?

yes, but keep in mind the vanilla villager.png will still be used so it will need the _blink.png texture as well

Wait I checked and villager1.png have eyes closed while base villager eyes still opened even if I put _blink in texture folder

And wtf... I rename villager5.png back to villager.png restart resource-packs once more with F3+T and now base texture have eyes closed...
