I just happened to notice this while looking through crashes for something else and wanted to lend a hand, just in case no one else has helped your elsewhere in the past few weeks. I am in no way affiliated with Traben or the mod.
If your player skin is being uploaded exactly as it is in the image you shared, they the reason you are being displayed with a white box for a head is because that is what the game is reading from your image.
Like mobs, players have a layer over their head for things like hair detail, headwear, etc. All that white space in the image you shared is not transparent, meaning that the layer over your head is being filled in with white.
I went ahead and made it transparent. I also noticed a gray mark and not knowing if that was intentional, I made a second version without it. I hope this helps!
