Configuration to bring back old Wisteria tree generation, or to simply rework Wisteria Tree generation.

The old wisteria trees from 3.0.0 were wonderful trees that I found really nice to look at, but as of the more recent updates, I feel as though their design has sincerely fallen off. The old trees were far more vibrant and full, and had a very mystical sense to them thanks to them always coming in colored variants which were entirely unique colors, like blues, lavenders and pinks.

Nowadays though, I feel as though they've been severely butchered. Their leaf generation feels far too unnatural, and commonly generate in big cubes rather than more natural shapes, not to mention the fact that they now tend to generate with bald tops, no roof of leaves covering over the top of their leaves, which do not match wisteria trees at all in their looks.

That isn't to say they're all bad. The new green leaves on top aren't a bad idea per se, but they're far too plentiful for what they are, and the saturated green they come in makes them feel like a very abrupt change, even with the connected texture that tries to smooth out their look with the pretty colored leaves... And I do like the new Wisteria tree log generation, it makes them feel more whimsical in that regard. But they feel very short now, and tend to generate in very small sizes. And combined with everything else, I feel as though its simply a huge downgrade visually to how they appeared in prior updates.

Below are a couple of images for comparison.

I implore you to consider changing them again, as I truly do think these trees deserve another rework. Taller trees, with more plentiful leaf generation and a little less of the green leaf variant generation on the top. As they are now, they simply feel botched compared to their earlier variants. If that isn't in the cards for whatever reason (though if that is the case, then please tell me why because honestly I feel as though there is plenty of reason to change them,) then at least having an option to toggle between the current day and the old generation style of Wisteria trees somewhere in the configuration files would be acceptable as well.

Yea, I'm with this person. I liked the bushier trees. Plus, it's really difficult to get wisteria saplings now. I like this tree. I wanna build with it

I'd like to make a mock-up at some point later today of what I think would suit these trees better to try and merge these two versions to make something that I think could be considered far more pleasing to look at while still being feasible to generate in the world as I really love building around these trees in these earlier versions of Environmental. I'll come back here in a bit with something so I can give more of a visual idea of what I'm thinking of in specific

We have been (and likely will continue to be) actively tweaking the shape, but all of this was done with very much intention. The size decrease and green top were all to prevent changing the overall look of the flower forest too much and have Wisteria as a more subtle inclusion to the forest. You're perfectly welcome to prefer the big change of the biome like that but it is not our goal for the biome and we will also not be supporting two versions of the same tree, especially when one is not what we envision for the mod/biome. You're welcome to create a mod/datapack with your own, however!

That's a massive let down honestly, and I heavily recommend you reconsider. Going the route of subtlety just simply does not work for Wisteria trees in general, if that's the goal with them. If you're going to tweak them this much, it's only going to hurt the aesthetic of the Flower Forest further, by making it so dull. Flower forests are meant to be breathtaking, beautiful sights in a world. I feel as though the old Wisteria trees did wonderfully to exemplify that further, and they brought a lot of nice color to the otherwise very typical green forests.

So then why drain them so excessively of what makes them so special in the first place? The extra color is exactly what brings life to the flower forest in the first place, and makes it feel like a far more unique biome to find, like a special sight in the world. If its that much of a concern, I don't see much of an issue with giving them their own unique biome to let them populate... But really, I just think adjusting them to match closer to their original designs would be a far better choice than gutting them THIS hard. They already complimented the flower forests very well before, but now they feel as if they've lost so much life and made far too homogenized.

Regardless of what the decision may be, I'd like to try and give an example of what I had in mind, since I had completed it prior and I would still like to include it here so I can at least get my point across for the general concept I had in mind. I'd like for them to take on an appearance that still utilizes the current features of Wisteria trees while tweaking them enough to make them feel more akin to their old variants, with more color to pop without cutting out too much of what makes the new ones special.

Once again, I strongly suggest you consider another rework for these trees. This is by far one of the largest issues I have with the mod as silly as it seems, but they've lost so much of what made them special in prior versions for mild changes which, with the exception of a few, only serve to hurt their visual appearances not just on their own, but also in the larger picture for the flower forests. The new Wisteria trees aren't subtle- they're plain boring at best and a sore sight for eyes at worst.
