Illagers are pretty intelligent, being able to build mansions and outposts, but most importantly weapons, if they can make weapons, why not armor, they clearly can wear armor as shown in minecraft dungeons, and even though the base game doesn't render armor on illagers and spawn them with it, mods such as "Illagers Wear Armor" can, but that mod has a fixed renderer which breaks when it is used with Epic Fight making armor on illagers look like in the picture. If you could add your own illager armor renderer that would be really great, thanks for reading :)
