Hello, here are a couple of things you can do to improve compatibality with other mods and quality of life changes:

Remove hardcoded armor models (So other mods with 3D armor can actually be visible and not be broken)

Make the animations toggleable, everything besides the attack animations.

Make the dodge mechanic animation+mechanic better(Make it so the dodge is relative to the keys you press instead of the direction the model is looking at. So if I press shift+a I dodge to the side rather than backwards because my character happened to be looking in a specific direction)

Add more AI type or make additions and compatibality with other mods
Also a minor thing, if you are surrounded by mobs apparently you get stun locked to death. So maybe make that tweakable or remove the stun thing entirely.

They won't be fixed in that simple way. Custom armor models from other mods don't have the necessary information to animate them. Also, it needs more vertices since there's and bent part like the elbow and knee.

You can use Filter Animation option to disable animation in mining mode.

I don't know if I understand what you meant correctly, but you already can dodge in a specific direction but the priority is backward. If you press shift while you're moving to the left(press 'A' key), you can dodge in the left direction.
- Actually, I'm considering how can make it compatible with mobs from other mods that have independent models. Like question 1, they need more data to animated them. For now, it only can handle the mobs that have the same models of vanilla.
