So, to the best of my knowledge, this hasn't been fixed, but in at least the last few updates, there still has yet to be an accurate animation for holding a crossbow while crawling. If you crawl, then hold a loaded crossbow, your torso detaches from your legs and sticks straight up, while the legs stay crawling. It just looks really funky, and I think it should have its own animation like the bow still does.
