/workbench - players can lose items, and crafting sometimes fails.

Hello, an user reported me that the /workbench doesn't works well and players may lose items, when they try to craft.
The item losing happens when you close the /workbench GUI
And seems that you can't craft

(Fixed specifically for the Anvil, Grindstone, and Stonecutter commands. I could not reproduce any issues with the Workbench or Enderchest commands.)
Currently cannot reproduce this issue. Below is a gif of what happens on my end. If anyone that experiences this issue can elaborate on what happens, it'd be greatly appreciated.
