Initial Questions
- I have searched this issue tracker and there is nothing similar already, and this is not on the list of known issues. Posting on a closed issue saying the bug still exists will prompt us to investigate and reopen it once we confirm your report.
- I have verified that this issue occurs in a SUPPORTED environment, meaning I can reproduce this WITHOUT OptiFine, and without Bukkit+Forge server software like KCauldron, Thermos, Crucible, Mohist etc

Describe the Issue
3d head blocks being disabled doesn't seem to apply, when new boats are on and bamboo is off the bamboo boats are still in the creative menu, when dyeable beds are off the bed is still called "red bed", when new signs are off they are still in the creative menu with no textures and the sign is still called oak sign rather than just sign, and when new textures are off the sponge still uses the newer texture.

This is for wet sponges only, since there was no wet sponge texture before 1.8 and I haven't made a 1.7 style one at the moment.

These issues have been identified and a fix will come soon, thanks. The issue for 3D head rendering also applies to new bow rendering
