when your ship has details like stairs or slabs on the underside, in the water, and you assemble the ship, water will come out of those and start flowing in the ocean.

same thing happens if the bottom of your ship is touching the tall algae in oceans

also happens if you accidentally disassemble a little too close to a dock or something, re-assembling the ship will take the dock with it as a part of the ship.

I think I get it though
they accidently assembled the desert and mesa because they had a water logged slab
which when they disassembled the water went into the world, when re-assembling this happened which is not good
