Suggestion
It would be great if you were automatically put into the third person ship camera when starting to control a ship, then puts you back into first person when exiting control. Perhaps as a config option?

Why
Driving a ship in first person makes it hard to see where the ship is, especially the larger the ship gets. This practically forces the user to use the ship camera/third person camera, so it would be a huge qol change to remove those out of the way button presses.
