Issue with mods

Issue Detail

  • Recipes do not get created (have to make them manually with KubeJS)
  • Generated blocks do not drop when mined (they drop nothing)
  • (Optional) The Aether & Deep Aether "skyroot_crafting_table" recipes should be removed and replaced with Wood Good table recipes

OPTIONAL: Latest.log | Crash-report Attachment

No response

OPTIONAL: To Produce

Recipe is uncraftable (does not exist), block does not drop when broken.

commented

Cool, thanks. The problem wasn't that I was using two mods at once -- I was trying both to see which one worked, and it was neither. I'll just use KubeJS to remove those recipes, thanks.

commented

Ok. The drop is fixed in the v2.11.2.

However, the reason why your recipe is uncraftable is because the 2 mods: More Crafting Table. they both have the exactly same recipe. that caused a conflicting. you should pick one of them.

EDIT:
If you don't want to remove one of 2 mods, then you can use polymorph to select 1 of 2 recipes to get the crafting_table you wanted.

NOTE: both crafting_table from 2 mods are no different from each other in term of recipes and also textures, too.

EDIT2:

(Optional) The Aether & Deep Aether "skyroot_crafting_table" recipes should be removed and replaced with Wood Good table recipes

forgot to say this - I cannot do that. KubeJS, You already know how to use it. so i won't need to say anymore.

you can make sure they don't get generated at all. there are 2 ways in configs:

  • everycomp-entries.toml - you can disable one woodType for all blocks from supported blocks.

NOTE: the blocks that are disabled won't have recipe generated and will be hidden from JEI/REI/EMI. but they are still generated. This will allow you to join server without any problem (no missing blocks)

  • everycomp-hazardous.toml - you can add skyroot_crafting_table and it won't be generated (included recipes and textures)

NOTE: hence the "hazardous", if you blacklist one block like skyroot_crafting_table, then it won't be generated because if you happened to join a server that has the block, you won't able to join.

Turns out, the drops may not have actually been fixed! I just updated all of my mods, including Wood Good, and reinstalled one of the More Crafting Tables mods to test. It seems to still not work. Also, there are about 230 more KubeJS errors, but I chalk that up to whatever that check was that was removed.

what's the current version of EC (EveryCompat) and ML (Moonlight). Go to everycomp-common.toml and set SERVER_GENERATION_MODE to "ALWAYS".

EDIT: i am going to do a quick test on my side. I have a good guess.

commented

I tested both 2 mods at same time and cannot reproduce the issue. I need the latest.log. Let me know if the issue persist with SERVER_GENERATION_MODE being set to ALWAYS.

commented

latest.log
server_assets_generation_mode was set to ALWAYS before testing, it still happens.

Moonlight: v1.21-2.23.3
Every Compat: v1.21-2.11.2

commented

hmm. Can you create a simple instance with Every Compat (EC) and Moonlight (ML) with More Crafting Tables (lieOnLion) with any wood mods of your choice.

Do a quick simple testing. If it works without any problem, then something is breaking EC's loot_tables and recipes for these blocks. I can't reproduce this issue on my side. You said there are errors from KubeJS? can i get the server.log for KubeJS?

EDIT:
thanks to your latest.log, i caught that error:
Skipping recipe everycomp:ch/carpenters_table_door, unknown type: chipped:carpenters_table. it is fixed in v2.11.3

commented

I'm awaiting to hear from you regarding this issue.

commented

I ended up moving on to an entirely different pack, and, as of the latest version, it's broken again -- I can't craft a More Crafting Tables table with Dead Planks from Biomes o'Plenty.

EDIT: The new pack is on Fabric, so I can't even use KubeJS to fix anything.

EDIT 2: More Chest Variants is also broken;

EDIT 3: Seems to work in a clean pack... very odd

commented

๐Ÿค” hmm. Are you playing on a SERVER, not in singleplayer world?

commented

Singleplayer, using e4mc to "host".

commented

I didn't say it was fixed, I said I was using e4mc to host -- Polymorph wouldn't fix this because the recipe doesn't exist. It won't show up at all in any crafting screens, but neither will vanilla wood blocks.
I have no idea what's causing the issue within my pack, but it only started after I updated every mod.

commented

I need the latest.log. Have you considered about using a SERVER with forge and stuff (not using e4mc).

The only bad side is that you will have to use a lot of RAM to run CLIENT and SERVER at same time on your computer so your friends and you can join the server.

commented

Oh I don't know that mod existed. Good to know. You can re-open this issue if the issue come back.

I recommend Polymorph - it resolve conflicting recipes.

sometimes you find yourself not able to craft a block. that's blc there are 2 recipes that has the same pattern, same ingredients but it output 2 different block. That's the conflicting recipes. Polymorph allow you to pick one of 2 blocks

commented

I guess I could. I'll try it...

EDIT: Didn't help. I'll upload the log, too.

Hmm. There is a failure generation for one recipe from Farmer's Delight. i'm applying the fix.

UPDATE:

Ok i've Fixed it

commented

FIXED in v2.11.10

commented

Yeah, you were absolutely right, adding Farmer's Delight to the test instance immediately causes MCT/MCV/etc to stop working with Every Compat... very strange indeed.

commented

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I know what was the problem and fixed it. All good.

3. Use Polymorph (provided a link above) - it resolve the conflicting recipe so you can choose 1 of 2 or more output.

I just remembered... I do already have Polymorph. So it's something else, then, not a conflicting recipe. Maybe another module in Every Compat is failing?

commented

Ahhh... Just updated, More Chest Variants doesn't work either.
EDIT: Could be the recipe conflicting with More Barrel Variants and Clutter No More's removal of slabs in recipes.

commented

There is no other way to fix the conflicting recipes. Here's the options for you to choose from:

  1. remove one of the mods that have the recipe that conflicted with other recipe from another mods
  2. use KubeJS/CraftTweaker to modify the conflicting recipe to have a different pattern or ingredient.
  3. Use Polymorph (provided a link above) - it resolve the conflicting recipe so you can choose 1 of 2 or more output.
commented

I checked the latest.log. there are no other modules that EveryComp had a failure of recipe generation.

The only errors i see are:

[21:04:37] [Render thread/ERROR]: Parsing error loading recipe farmersknives:netherite_gold_knife
[21:04:38] [Render thread/ERROR]: Parsing error loading recipe farmersknives:terminite_knife
[21:04:38] [Render thread/ERROR]: Parsing error loading recipe farmersknives:knightmetal_knife
[21:04:38] [Render thread/ERROR]: Parsing error loading recipe farmersknives:dragon_knife
[21:04:38] [Render thread/ERROR]: Parsing error loading recipe farmersknives:warden_knife

try remove Farmer's Knives and see if it resolve the recipe issues. i recommend you to create a new server world on your side to see if you can reproduce the issue

EDIT: or you can downgrade the current version of Farmer's Knives if you really need it for your server. I remember you said you recently updated every mods and somehow the recipes are not working. that's where you need to find out which one of mods is causing the problem.
