Before Continuing:

• Always check you are using the latest version of the mods and its dependencies
• Remove mod that enhances Minecraft: Optifine, Sodium, others. The issue still persists.
• If you are unsure which mod is the culprit.
  Disable all of your mods and enable them 1-2 mods each time to isolate the culprit
• Confirm that there is no existing issue with a similar description submitted in the list of issues.

Uninstall every compat. You don't need it

This was the minimal amount of mods I could reproduce the crash with.
I added Every Compat to my modpack because I was planning to add biome mods after debugging this issue, but I can now confirm that installing Biomes 'O Plenty does fix the crash so it does seem like it only crashes when there is no mod present that adds new wood types.

I'm no longer having the issue after updating.

Maxen, which mod had the update that is no longer caused the problem??? I don't think it's EveryCompat that caused this but one of the mods that caused this.

To clarify, if you install every compact alone it will happen
.eveyrcompat is not meant to be used alone
