Short description:

Cannot put damaged items from some mods, but can from another.

Cannot:

  • Diamond Helmet from Silent Gear
  • Engineer's Hammer from Immersive Engineering
    Can:
  • Warp Stone from Waystones
  • Bronze Chestplate from Mekanism: Tools
  • Diamond Gloves from The Aether

I am relieved that its a bug, and not something Silent did on his part, was worried when my SG Paxel wouldnt go into the Blood chest

@uhloin I'm not sure each individual case matters here, if the context already mentions "modded items", but you can certainly just add it to your original message above.

Looking through the list of affected items, while it has something to do with durability, I'm assuming that there's some different implementations out there where one affects this issue, and the normal vanilla one does not. The gear from mekanism and aether certainly use vanilla durabilities, but the hammer and chalk likely do not. I do not know how silent gear works.

Since it's likely regarding non-vanilla durability mechanics (or however it's called), this is actually not considered a bug, but a feature request. However, this has been accepted already so it may get worked on soon if it hasn't already.

Previously, I definitely repaired Silent Gear armor, warp stones from Waystones and Occultism chalks, but failed from some time point. Not sure about Immersive Engineering and Mekanism.
