Broom Disappears While Flying (SMP)

Issue type: Bug
Short description:
While flying on a broom, it disappears! Happened to me and a couple other people on our SMP. Broom components irrelevant.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
In SMP, get a broom (its components don't matter) and fly on it for a bit around your base. At a random time (inconsistent, but seemingly related to a small lag spike server-side) the broom will cease to exist, and you call to the ground. Searching your inventory and the immediate area where the broom disappeared fails to find the broom.
Expected behavior:
The broom shouldn't disappear from underneath you!
Versions:
- This mod: EvilCraft-1.12.2-0.10.78.jar
- Minecraft: 1.12.2
- Forge: ForgeMultipart-1.12.2-2.6.2.83-universal.jar
Modpack Used: Dungeons Dragons & Space Shuttles 7.1a - Server/Client
Log file: (no crash; no log)
Miscellaneous:
I am aware this is a network-related issue, and/or possibly a mod interaction issue, so I don't expect a fix that quickly. I just wanted to report what I and a couple others have been experiencing on our server and create a place where others experiencing this issue can discuss. Thank you.
I haven't heared about this problem yet.
Most likely a mod interaction issue indeed.
Perhaps your pack has been configured to limit the number of entities somehow?
I was considering that possibility. A recent update to the modpack updated several other mods, and when I dug into the problem, noticed EvilCraft was NOT one of the updated mods, so I'll agree with your suspicion. If the issue in fact resides with another mod, I'll be sure to move the GitHub ticket accordingly.
As to the source, it'll have to take more research. Please bear with me; I have a lot on my plate at this time and I'll probably not be able to put serious brain power on this until a week or so from now at best. Many apologies. ;2(
In the meantime, there is a very good changelog at the DDSS website, and you're welcome to review the mods updated in the 7.0+ updates and see if any of them may stand out.
Thanks for your response, and I look forward to helping get to the bottom of this issue!
Thinking about the server I'm in, it is a sponge-powered server, and yes, I think there are entity limits in the configs. I'll have to see if that's a possible cause. Thanks.
