This would be a great option in the config or possibly make the recipe more expensive to craft them initially and remove the decay by default.

I probably meant to make it disableable by setting the chance to 0, but it's locked to 0.0001 as a minimum right now. Will possibly remove the minimum if I end up having to release a new version.

Ah I see. I have set to minimum and it still eats through enchanted books. Maybe as an idea, an enchant such as infinity or unbreaking could stop the decay.
