The animations of the auto sieve hurt my eyes as well as cause a-lot of lag for me. Would be nice if there was a way to disable them and just leave the same animation as if a player was manually sieving the material. This goes for water wheels too.

Release 0.4 has made changes to the animation and fixed the option to disable it.
