Barrels and hoppers

Describe the bug
Hopping into barrels does not work correctly
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Place barrel
- Place hopper on top
- Put saplings in hopper
- Doesn't work the same as a right click
Expected behavior
Saplings should turn into dirt but won't this way

Minecraft Version: 1.16.3
Forge Version: 31.1.61
