btw it's already compatible in that it works with biomes o plenty. It would just be cool if mega versions of biomes o plenty mushrooms were included

Adding the same behaviour can be difficult or maybe impossible, because the mushrooms does not (randomly) tick and they won't change this. Glitchfiend/BiomesOPlenty#1585
