When I come into a game, all of my blocks are distorted and glitchy all around me. Everywhere I walk I am surrounded by blocks.

This does not sound like it is an issue with fabric api itself, and we will certainly need more information about which version of the game you are using, what mods you have installed, and probably some images of exactly what you are seeing, in order to help you out further.
