Description

When launching Minecraft 1.14.2 with Fabric 0.16.14 installed, the background image on the title screen changes from the original 1.14 Village Update background to the 1.13 Ocean Update background. This issue does not occur in vanilla Minecraft. I have tried many launchers and confirmed that the reason is Fabric.

I cannot reproduce this in in the official vanilla installer using the fabric installer. I expect this is a launcher issue where the assets have not been correctly setup. What launcher are you using? what is PCL as seen in your screenshot?

hmmm I tried HMCL and PCL, maybe both have problem?

I removed fabric-api and solved problem. can you try to install fabric-api and try again?

@tmdakm This is indeed an issue with Fabric API, present in all 1.14.x versions till fabric 0.3.1+build.208 for 1.14.4. You can update to 1.14.4 and use any Fabric API version above fabric 0.3.1+build.208 or use a simple resource pack to fix it.

Practically. I don't think it's feasible to address this in such an older version.

Its worth trying some of the 1.14.4 versions on 1.14.2 there is a chance they may work on .2 if you have a specific need for that.
