I died a few times very early in the game and noticed my level was at about 40. Then I tested, died with those 40 levels, spawned with 0 levels, picked up the exp orb and got 69 levels

I tested with no other mods and the issue did not appear, so its an incompatibility issue

i had the same issue when i had the option disabled but with a different mod that added the same option. unfortunately that happened 2 month ago and i dont remember anything else nor i can confirm this with 100% certaininty but i think it happened
