Up until release 1.3.1, there would be a text above Loading chunks saying "Entering the Nether" or "Entering the End" when entering either dimension, and "Leaving the Nether" or "Leaving the End" when leaving said dimensions. This was broken in 1.3.1, and it does suck it was broken even though it's a small feature.
