I'm not certain if it's a thing, but being able to just define something like '@tags.trinkets:' with '*=forever', to make everything with a trinket tag have this despawn property applied would be very nice.
The reason this is a question and not feature request is because... it might already be a thing and I'm just not aware. Maybe I missed something in the config or it's not documented.

but ye, the tags thing appears to exist and it can be used for this (assuming trinkets are a tagged item).

It's not quite what I was after. It's great, yes, but being able to use a wildcard under a mod's name or otherwise to have partial matches would be nice.
Something like 'hexcasting:staff*', maybe?

changed the issue to a feature request. probably won't get around to implementing it anytime soon. so don't wait for it
