Ideas - More Jobs for Fairies

First off thank you for keeping this mod alive!
I have some free ideas for you if you are interested:
- Smelting fairies. They need a blast furnace and a chest near a post and a chest with coal/charcoal and ores or other smeltables.
- Cook. They need a smoker and chest and will cook all food items in the chest. Even better if the cook is a medic the food will give you a small regen. If you feel up to it you could even add some integration with farmers delight and have the cook only cook a food item that is inside an item frame on the chest.
- Delivery Fairy. Give the fairy two posts, mark one with F for From and the other with T for to and the fairy will try to move all items in the from chest to the chest at the to post. This will help with the cook and the smelter. Could also make the delivery fairy only take items from the 'F' chest that are inside item frames on the chest.
- Collector Fairy. Needs a post with a chest nearby and a broom in the chest. The fairy will 'sweep' all items on the ground nearby into the chest. If there is experience the fairy will 'sweep' that into bottles and save it in the chest as bottles of enchanting.
- Alchemist fairy. Will used the ingredients in the chest at the post to create potions in a nearby brewing stand. Could also make the fairy only try to brew the potion inside and item frame on the chest.
To make it so the fairies are not just abused by the player they can stop performing their posts if their mood is too low and will have a chat bubble of random sweets that they want to improve their mood.
Fairy beds. When they are tame they will want to go to bed when its night and prefer hollowed out stumps with wool inside.
Hello! Those are some really good ideas!
I could add fairy moods and beds but I'm not too sure about how I should go about adding new jobs without breaking everything. From the original mod, the way the jobs were coded initially, they used a system that I'm still not sure I understand completely. I would have to re write a good part of the code (or perhaps most of the code) to make it easier to add more jobs and that could take a while. I'm sure that once I come up with a solution, I'll be able to add in some more cool and interesting fairies!
I am glad you like them, best of luck with the greater understanding of how the mod is coded. I know how hard it can be to work with someone else's code or any project really. It always feels harder to figure out that to just start over. I have confidence that you can do it though. :-)
Thank you for the response as well.
