Seems a bit odd for it to be doing this, I believe I recall doing it before with no ill effects like this. Now it freezes the game (and Volume Mixer too, for whatever reason).

1. Create a new superflat world with default settings

2. /tp 0 9007199254740992 0

3. Cry
