[1.18.1] Crash when trying to plant rice on sand

Description
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.
When I tried to grow rice and right-clicking a sand block after I had cultivated dirt blocks nearby, the game crashed.
Edit: This also happens when planted on a gravel block, and probably all blocks that have 1 "water block" above them.
Steps to reproduce:
What did you do to cause the issue? Can it be replicated?
- Start Minecraft 1.18.1 with Forge 39.0.66 and FD 1.0.1.
- Create a (creative) world and get a rice item (i.e not a panicle).
- Approach a body of water which has sand.
- Right-click the sand with the rice.
- Crash.
Expected behavior:
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.
I expected it to not crash...
