There is no config file :)

Reproducability

Install the 1.12.2 Version and look in the config folder.

• Before submitting this issue I updated to the newest version and reproduced it

Thats because 1.12.2 is not configurable it is hard capped at 64 chunks. It does not modify the option to go higher than 32 aswell, need to use some other mod for that
