As a temporary fix open the mod jar file in a program like 7zip or winrar and find the fabric.mod.json file

Does the mod still work 100% when doing that?

Probably, I have not tested it on a client only on a server

As a temporary fix open the mod jar file in a program like 7zip or winrar and find the fabric.mod.json file. open it in some text editor like VScode and find the line that says
"fabricloader": "0.14.6",
"minecraft": "1.18"
and change it to
"fabricloader": "",
"minecraft": "
"

Save it, close the editor and make sure to update it in the archive, should work fine

I have tried this and it works on simple mods but I'm not sure it's a good or stable idea on a memory optimization mod such as ferritecore.
