There's no interaction mechanics for wild fey if you offer them food they don't like. A chat message (to that player, not the whole server) along the lines of "I want something sweeter." or something like that would be nice.

The bit about giving them cookies is in the fey dust entry, in a different chapter, so it's easy to think they don't want anything at all.
