Why is the armor hidden in the first place o_O. What is "elytra armor"(like modded, or custom vanilla item?) and how does it look like in f5/is it supposed to look like?

commented

vanilla item, when dressed before chestplate and then elytra

Ahhhh it's using custom nbt trickery in the latest releases to combine an elytra and chestplate logic in one. Can you by chance provide me with a command so summon the item in (with give or summon or whatever)? Then I can try to make it behave better.

For some reason I can't upload a video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3BQmV5du5U

Huh I'm so confused. Are you not using a datapack/mod/plugin to combine a chestplate and an elytra?

GqZfi6iT5e.mp4

Because this doesn't happen with normal items.

no datapacks, no mods with adding items, maybe mod particle core

No clue then. As you can see, I cant replicate it with just Firstperson mod, so it must be some weird mod combination.

I've been trying, can't reproduce it at all in 1.21.4 with or without mods. It also kinda doesn't make sense, because this mod hides armor parts at best, and never adds them (also where does the Netherrite texture come from then?). I guess the last question is which mc version is that, is it something other than 1.21.4?

i found where is problem its appears when vanilla hands mode: items in hands or always both and dynamic mode on. version 1 21 4

Noticed the issue too, I was about to create a new issue for this. With vanilla hands on, if you are wearing a chestplate and holding an item, the arm will take the shoulder armor texture for the material equivalent of the boots you are wearing. In my screenshot I am wearing an iron chestplate and netherite boots. If you are wearing no boots, you will have no shoulder armor on arms that are holding items.

Haven't had time to investigate it with the new info. Maybe something weird happens with the renderstate of 1.21.3+.
